Description: The purpose of this tool is to provide recommendations to guide and strengthen the effective engagement and participation of affected communities, key populations (KPs) and other civil society organizations (CSOs) in implementing democratic and transparent processes to elect their representatives to the CCMs. The recommenda- tions contained herein are based on GF policy and the experience of the Latin American and Caribbean region in consolidating democratic, transparent and documented participatory mechanisms for representative nomination, election and accountability.
